Baked Meat Sandwich

A recipe from my Bisquick book entitled "So Quick with New Bisquick", copyright 1967

Baked Meat Sandwich

1 lb. ground beef or pork
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Tabasco
Biscuit dough (made with Bisquick)
2 tbsp. mayonnaise or salad dressing

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. In large skillet cook and stir meet and onion until lightly browned. Drain. Stir in cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and Tabasco. Remove from heat; set aside. Prepare biscuit dough from basic recipe except add mayonnaise with the water. With floured fingers, pat half of the dough in prepared pan. Spread meat mixture over dough. Turn remaining dough onto meat mixture; with floured fingers, spread over meat. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
