Home Remedies
*****************
For Poison Ivy, use equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water. Dab on the affected skin areas allowing to dry. Apply as often as needed for relief.

You can make a simple cough remedy by boiling one lemon slowly for approximately 10 minutes. This will soften the lemon so that it will be juicier, and it will also soften the rind. Cut the lemon in two parts and extract the juice with a lemon squeezer. Put the juice into an ordinary drinking glass. Add two tablespoonfuls of glycerine. Stir the glycerine and lemon juice mixture well, then fill the drinking glass with honey. (Glycerine can be purchased from your local druggist or pharmacy.)

Put meat tenderizer on a bee sting.

For a hangover, eat honey on crackers. The fructose in the honey will help to flush out the alcohol in your system.

For smelly feet, soak feet in strong tea for 20 minutes every day until the smell disappears. To prepare your footbath, brew two tea bags in 2 1/2 cups of water for 15 minutes and pour the tea into a basin containing two liters of cool water.

A simple cure for a stomach ache is to dissolve 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon in 1 cup warm water, cover and let sit for 15 minutes, then drink it like tea. This remedy can also ease diarrhea and flatulence.

Sooth a sore throat by gargling with one teaspoon of salt mixed in a small amount of warm water. Do not swallow. Repeat as often as necessary.
